Thrive Mission News and prayer requests
The joy of missionaries is our joy. The path of growth of missionary kids is cared for by God.
A missionary serving in Nepal came to the United States to share missionary needs and relief work after floods. His children participated in the fellowship run by Thrive Mission. When the missionary began sharing, he said, "When I spoke with my children, they said, 'Dad, have you seen the teachers of the fellowship?' If you do, please send my regards to them.'"
After that meeting, we also discussed educational issues with some mission leaders. Some missionaries shared the challenges that missionary kids faced. His child faced many challenges at age seven, and he admitted he had neglected the needs of his child's development and failed to reduce his child's stress in the past.
At a meeting with many mission workers, one leader said, "We thank teachers Simon and Pearl. They have cared for many of our missionaries and our children over the years! They know us well; they walk with us, accompany us, and support us."
After last week's fellowship, one of mothers of the children told us.
"Teacher, I had a conversation with the child after the fellowship and would like to share with you. Here is what we discussed:
The mother: Child, how does the online fellowship feel?
Missionary kid: Very good! (Also gives a thumbs-up to show satisfaction.) ）
The mother: What else?
Missionary kid: I feel especially united.
The mother: Anything else?
Missionary kid: About love, and the teacher said something very special.
The mother: What else?
Missionary kid: Also, thank you, teachers, and classmates."
Prayer Requests:
1. Please remember our weekly online youth and children's fellowship. Currently, about thirty missionary kids join for fellowship, coming from various countries including Ukraine, Pakistan, Cambodia, Iraq, Nepal, and the Republic of Uzbekistan. May the Lord help the mentors to have the wisdom, faith, health, and ability entrusted to them by the Lord. We still need volunteers who are united in heart and vision, obedient to participate together. May the Lord personally prepare for us.
2. Please remember that many missionaries bravely press forward for the Lord's name. Their ministries require substantial funding, their bodies and minds are often in a state of struggle, and their children face many academic problems. Pray that the Lord will strengthen Thrive Mission to help missionary families grow. May the Education Scholarship Program to missionary kids be implemented soon to help children improve their English proficiency.
